Preparing the SAP S/4HANA Cloud System

SAP Business API Hub

The SAP API Business Hub website is used to test the APIs against a Sandbox environment provided by SAP.

Note: Before using the plug-in, please make sure to create a account to the SAP API Business Hub using the following steps. If an account has already been created, then you can skip these steps.
Note: Use S-User ID to sign up in the API Hub.
  1. Using a web browser, navigate to the website https://api.sap.com.
  2. Click Log On on the upper right-hand corner.
  3. On the pop-up window, click Register.
  4. Fill the required registration information and click Register.
Note: The Username and Password provided during registration is used for configuring the Repository configuration in the Configuration tab of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Connection shared resource for the Sandbox.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Production Tenant

This section includes the necessary information for using the plug-in against a SAP S/4HANA Cloud Production tenant. Before the tenant is used, the required configuration is needed in the tenant.

For configuring the Production tenant and invoking services in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud tenant, refer to Communication Management in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud documentation.

Note: For each API that is planned with the plug-in, make sure that the Communication Arrangement is configured accordingly. For more information, see the SAP S/4HANA Cloud documentation.
Note: For invoking services in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, the product tenant supports basic authentication, SSL, and OAuth 2.0. For enabling OAuth 2.0 configuration, configure the Technical Communication User and Business User accordingly.
Note: When using SSL client certificate authentication, ensure that the root CA that signs the certificate is registered in SAP Load Balancer.
Note: When using SSL client certificate authentication, ensure that you use the root CA available in the list of all root CAs approved by SAP Global Security. It must be available in SAP Note 2801396 (SAP Global Trust List) also.
Note: When using SSL client certificate authentication, ensure that you import your certificate and its chain (intermediate certificate) together into the keystore alias that has your private key.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Business Events

To use the Receive Business Events activity, the SAP S/4HANA OData V2 API 'Business Events Queue - Read' must be configured with the communication user specified in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Connection shared resource.
