Changing the Default Value of a Property in the Environment Controls Tab
The app properties you created in the App Properties dialog become available in the Environment Controls tab in the UI after you push (or repush) your app to the cloud. You can modify the values of the properties in the Environment Controls tab. The value for data type password remain encrypted in the Environment Controls tab. You can modify the password values, but you cannot view the default password that was set in the App Properties dialog for the property.
To change the value of a property in the
Environment Controls tab:
Before you begin You must have pushed (or re-pushed) the app to the cloud after adding or modifying a property in the
App Properties dialog.
- Procedure
- Click the Value column for the property to put it in edit mode.
- Edit the property value as desired, then click outside from the text box. Optionally, do so for all properties whose values you want to change.
If you have made changes to more than one property:
- to revert all your changes, click Cancel changes.
- to revert only one property to its original value, click the Set to default link for that property.
To change the value for properties of data type password:
- Click next to the password value you want to change. This deletes the default password that was set.
- Click the Value column for the password. The text box to enter the password is displayed.
- Enter the new password and click to save the password in encrypted form.
To revert to the original password after saving the modified one:
- Click next to the password value you want to revert.
- Delete the new password that you entered.
- Click .This reverts the password to its original value. The reverted password value is encrypted and you cannot view it.
- Click Update app for your changes to get saved.
- Push (or re-push) your app in order for your changes to take effect.
