Creating an API Mock App

Choose one of the following ways to create an API Mock App:

Creating Mock Apps From Empty Apps

You can create a Mock App based on an existing API specification to test the API against a live endpoint.

To create a Mock App from empty app, complete these steps:

  1. Log on to the TIBCO Cloud Integration website.
  2. Click the Apps option.
  3. On the Apps page, Click Create.
  4. In the Create an app dialog, select the sandbox where the app will be stored and enter a name for the Mock App. Click Create.

  5. On the displayed Apps page, click the Create a Mock app option.

  6. In the Choose an API Spec dialog, select an existing API specification, and then click Choose. You are directed back to the Apps page where you can get the deploying process. The appn color turns to green when the Mock App is successfully pushed and run.

Creating Mock Apps From API Modeler

You can create a Mock App based on an existing API specification to test the API against a live endpoint.

To create a Mock App from API Modeler, complete these steps:

  1. Log on to the TIBCO® Cloud Integration website.
  2. Click the API specs option.
  3. Move the mouse pointer over an API specification and click > Create Mock app.

    Note:

    • If you have created a Mock App for the selected API specification, click > Go to Mock app to get the endpoint for testing.

    • If you have created a Mock App for the selected API specification, and edit the API after creating the Mock App, click > Update Mock app to redeploy the Mock App.

  4. In the Create Mock app dialog, select the sandbox where the app will be stored and enter a name for the Mock App, and then click Create.

    You are directed back to the Apps page where you can get the deploying process. The app color turns to green when the Mock App is successfully pushed and run.
