Replacing an App
If you have already pushed an app, you can replace it with another app in your organization, which updates the running version with a new version.
For this procedure, the app to be replaced is referred to as the target app, and the replacement app is the source app.
- Log in to TIBCO Cloud™ Integration.
- Click the Apps tab.
- Hover over the target app you want to replace, and click the shortcut menu (
). - Click Replace.
- In the dialog that appears, select a source app as the replacement. If you have a long list of apps, use the search control to find a specific that app. Note that you can only replace a target app with a sourceapp of the sameapp type, except for Mock apps, which can be replaced by any app type except another Mock app.
- Click Replace application to replace the app, or click Cancel to revert changes.
- Type the name of the target app to confirm the operation. Click Replace application to complete the replacement, Back to select a different source app, or Cancel to cancel to revert changes.
After an app is replaced:
- The app is auto-rescaled.
- The endpoint URL is preserved and does not change.
- All properties in the source app take effect in the target app, except for password properties in the default property list, which are erased. (Passwords in the overrides list do take effect.)
Role Requirements
- Admins can replace any app in their organization. The source app and target app must belong to the same user.
- Users can replace any app they own.
- Read-only users cannot replace any app.
