Creating an App

The Create App dialog helps you determine which app type is the best for your project by providing informative options down the left side. For example, if you want to leverage existing APIs to access data, select API-based Integration or if you want to listen for events from another system and take action on those events, select Messaging/Event-based Integration.

Once you select an option from the left menu, a list of possible app types is displayed and the best option is marked with a green check mark. If supported, Marketplace listings display for the selected app type. If the list of Marketplace options is too long, you can search by the name or filter using tags.

If you are familiar with the available app types, you can go straight to Quickstart > All app types. This option displays all of the app types and you can select the type you need.

When creating a new app you have the option to start from scratch, import an app, use an app listing from the Marketplace as a template, implement an OpenAPI spec, or import a GraphQL Schema. See the following for more details on each option:
